5 Simple Ways to Grow Your Email List

Growing an email subscriber list from zero to 873,049 subscribers sounds like a daunting task, but it isn’t as impossible as it seems. In fact, it’s something that I accomplished with a few simple changes and a lot of dedication.

If you want to take your business to the next level, you need an email list that will help your success.

We created this guide to help you grow your email list and make it valuable for your business. It’s not hard to do, but there are tricks and strategies you need to master if you want to build a large email list.

From understanding your audience to creating content upgrades and more, read on to learn how I grew my email subscriber list to over 873K in just two years.

1. Create a free tool or content that requires email sign-up.

If you’re looking to grow your email subscriber list, one great way to do it is by offering a free tool or piece of content that requires an email sign-up. This could be a downloadable PDF, an e-book, a mini-course, or even just a helpful blog post or checklist.

If you’re creating something that’s of actual value to your customers, then they’ll be happier to exchange their information for your tool, your content, or anything they love using that you’re giving away.

The key is to make sure that the freebie you’re offering is high quality and something that your target audience would find valuable. Once you’ve created your freebie, promote it through your social media channels and other marketing channels. And don’t forget to include a call-to-action (CTA) on your website and in your email signature encouraging people to sign up for your mailing list.

If your customer is happy with what you’re giving them, it makes selling more fun. If they’re happy to give you their email address for the chance to win something and get more great content, then there’s a much greater opportunity for conversion down the road.

Growing an email subscriber list can take time, but it’s worth it if you want to build a loyal audience of engaged followers who are interested in what you have to say.

2. Try an opt-in campaign

An opt-in campaign is a great way to grow your email subscriber list. You can offer a freebie in exchange for an email address, or run a contest where the prize is an email subscription.

Some people like to get emails, and some people don’t. These days, it’s easy enough to send an email that they’re not going to unsubscribe from. But if you know that person will forward your request and share it with friends, why not give them a free opt-in?

You’re asking someone to do something they have proven they are willing to do. That’s an incredible way to build trust with your audience and start something amazing.

There are a few things to keep in mind when running an opt-in campaign:

1. Make sure your offer is something that your target audience will actually want. There’s no point in offering a free ebook on gardening tips if your target audience is interested in fashion.

2. Keep your opt-in form simple and easy to fill out. The more fields there are, the less likely people are to bother filling it out.

3. Promote your opt-in campaign through social media, your website, and any other channels you have available.

The more people who opt-in to your emails, the better – but only if they’re the right people.

3. Boosts the incentives

Your audience is already hungry for an offer the second they sign up for your newsletter. Give them something tangible that they can act on right away. You’re keeping them engaged and rewarding them for their loyalty which means they’re more likely to keep opening, reading, and sharing your emails.

Give your subscribers something that they can act on quickly! If you’re running a sale or other big promotion and you want to make the most of your emails, consider including an incentive.

But what should an incentive be? A discount code? An offer with an expiration date? Actually, the key to engaging your audience is simple: Give them the incentive to open up and then reward them for their loyalty.

When you include an incentive in your email campaign, it does two things – keeps them engaged and encourages them to open up. It also makes them feel like they’re getting value out of the content they’re reading and encourages them to share their delight with friends on social media.

Many times, we can’t control what’s in our inboxes, but we can make sure that we’re creating original offers that are valuable to your audience. We know that people want something more than just a sales pitch and discount. Show them the value of subscribing to your newsletter, and boost your open rates at the same time.

4. Partner up

If you want to grow your email list quickly, one of the best things you can do is partner up with another business or individual who has a similar audience to yours. This can be done in a number of ways, such as co-hosting an event, running a joint promotion, or simply promoting each other’s content.

When partnering up, it’s important to make sure that you’re both providing value to each other’s audiences. Otherwise, you’ll just be wasting each other’s time and resources. Make sure to take the time to properly vet any potential partners before moving forward.

5. Run a contest

If you want to grow your email subscriber list quickly, one of the best things you can do is run a contest.

This will not only give you the opportunity to collect emails from people who are interested in what you have to offer, but it will also help to spread the word about your brand and get people talking.

You can win people over with a contest. A contest is fun and easy to fill out. If you start a contest and invite people to participate, they will. Think about what part of your product suite you can give away; maybe it’s a consultation or a free blog.

There are a few things to keep in mind when running a contest:

1. Make sure the prize is something that your target audience would actually want.

2. Keep the entry requirements simple and easy to follow.

3. Promote your contest through social media and other online channels.

4. Make sure to follow up with all of the winners and provide them with their prizes in a timely manner.

Contests are fun, creative ways to engage with your customers. Running a contest can increase a customer’s lifetime value by more than $100! If you’re looking for new ways to drive traffic and sales, consider running a contest.
